So You Think You All High & Mighty Now???
Hey all!
So this is something special. In just over one week and a half, 3 different women have either asked me about how to deal with or if I have ever experienced dealing with family and friends whom you love, but that are not of the same frame of mind as you anymore. The ones that hold you back from being able to grow spiritually. Or they are the trigger that although you have taken 3 steps forward in Gods plan, you fall back 5 steps. Or that they are of the same spiritual mind, but still need to be delivered from the negativity they think of and speak to you. Or that they just seem to be the ones that work your absolutely last nerve.
So I see a need to talk about how we can ALL deal with family that is not in the same place as we are. Now remember, that I speak NOT from a place of "I got it together and I been in this for a long time.". But I speak from a place of "Here is what has been working in my life. It's still not perfect, but it's been able to get me on my way.".
Let me tell you. This is most definitely something I've gone through. And sometimes, still go through. And for as long as I am alive, I am sure I'll continue to experience. And I'll tell you right off the top, it's not an easy thing to deal with.
But by Faith, I believe that it's something that with prayer, time and patience, it will NOT be able to keep your from growing spiritually and following the steps that God has ordained for your life!! It will NOT be the thing that is keeping you from walking out the YES that you gave him last week!!

So now that we have covered the VICTORY in this item!!!!!!!! Lets take a look at the Journey.
If you are at this point in your life, let me say Congratulations. Because it's pretty clear that you have actually made a decision that you want to make a change for the better in your own life. And at the same time, trying to keep your heart protected from the things that are going on or that you hear around you. With that, keep in mind that because YOU have made a decision to want better and to want what God wants for you, some people will not understand. This is the time where you will hear something that you may not want to hear. So please be prepared for this. Pray over your heart that it will not catch any spirit of offense if you hear it. For someone is likely to hit you with the "So you think you are better than me now? You think you are all high and mighty?" Know that that statement is unfounded. No you don't think you are better than anyone. No you do not think you are high and mighty. For you are practicing humility at all times. As long as you are NOT feeling like you are any better than anyone you will do just fine. So that is the mental preparation.
Here is one scripture you can begin to pray over yourself in order to prepare yourself in the process.
What this scripture means to me, for this type of situation, is that I can't control how others think or feel about me. I don't hold the keys to their heaven or hell. But just like I had and still have flaws, so do they. And it's not for me to point out, call out, or judge. But it IS for me to just love them, even in their flaws. I don't need to accept their flaw, but I am to love them and be patient with them and pray for them. Remember, if they are negative to you, gossip to you, etc.... it's because at some point you used to entertain it. Which means, Be Humble and have Mercy, it used to be you too.
(Since this is a hard time dealing with a loss for everyone, I'll be posting for this topic in pieces over the coming days.)

Ephesians 4:2
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.
