Make Me Blind, Lord

I said that i'll be posting encouragement after our last post. So if you have decided that you are NOT taking any more L's, i'm sure you are going to need the encouragement. So here's where we are.

In this week, I/we have found that we all need a little more faith. We needed a little help. We needed that "last hope" kind of faith. We needed the "Woman With The Issue Of Blood" faith. Well, now that we found that that is where we need to start, please don't be surprised to find that you woke up this morning and you are still in that same place today. Like I said, the enemy is NOT going to just allow you to put all your chips on the table without a fight. He is trying to keep you with small faith. Big faith is a problem for the enemy. Even I woke up today and I had just a little more hope, but things are still going to come at me.

See, what's going to happen here is kind of like a bully situation. The victim finally says "I'm Not Going To Let Myself/My Family Get Bullied Anymore". But the bully isn't just going to stop. He is now going to test you because now you are trying to stand up to him. He is going to poke at you and smack you upside your head a few more times to prove if you are really done being bullied or if he can still just get you to break down and cry like he did before. Will you let him?

So here is where I am. And here is where I think many of you might find yourself. Our eyes can get us in so much trouble with our faith!!!  For example, I can say "My Family Will NO LONGER Be Dysfunctional!" but yea, that involves not only actions, but everyone's actions in the circle that I call my family. It's going to take some work. It's going to take some patience. Heck, it might even take some Advil. But it can work. The most important thing that it's going to take is Blindness. 

What I mean is, while all I want is a family that is not dysfunctional, i'm still going to SEE some dysfunction. I'm still going to SEE with my eyes, everything that is NOT what i want. But if i'm going to allow God to do the work, and keep my FAITH set on what I want, then I need to become BLIND to the natural things I see. Now, i don't mean be ignorant to what is going on. You need to use wisdom, but don't allow what you SEE to get in the way of what you are trying to accomplish.

So we can all ask the Lord to help us be Blind to the thing that is opposite of what we are asking Him for. Because that is nothing but a distraction. Distractions meant for us to fail in what our Faith wants.
