Dealing.... Forgiving.... Being Strong....
Lord God, In the name of Jesus, we need your help God. Someone was taken from us. I know that it was against your plans. But I also know that you will get your Glory from it. Our hearts are so broken. Our entire church mourns. But I know of especially 3 people who are more broken than we would ever be. Lord God, Please, if you do nothing else for me at all today, please keep your loving arms wrapped around Stevie, Erica and Trinity. Lord God, in these days, they need you more than I can ever imagine. I know that you use every hurt, every disappointment, every tear, and you turn it all around in your time, in order for this time to be something that we never thought of it to be.
So Father, as we remember our dear brother, his smile, his face, his heart, we will hurt at times. And we may hurt even more for his family. And we may become angry with those who caused our loss. But Father, you are a God of forgiveness. And we know that we must forgive. So as we travel a new road of forgiveness, just keep our hearts Lord God. Remind us that although the body may be gone, NOONE can steal the memories that we all have. We can keep those things locked in our hearts and bring them up when we need them. Keep our hearts Lord God. Keep our hearts from the pain of loss, and give us all a Peace that surpasses all understanding. Keep our hearts Lord God. In all of our trying to understand the who, what, when, where and why's of this loss, give us understanding that no matter what the details were, the main details is that YOU are in control at all times. That although this was not part of your plan, you are still going to use it for the good. Lord God, Keep Our Hearts. Keep us, who are just barely on the outside. Keep us strong. Keep us strengthened with a strength that only you can give us. For we absolutely cannot do this in our own strength. We are in too much pain. But if You were to give us the strength we need, we will be able to pray for the family when they are weak, we will be able to worship for the family when they can't, we will be able to Praise Your Holy Name, when they can't muster a word. Keep our hearts Lord. So we can be of help for the family in their time of great pain and sorrow.
In Jesus Name I Pray. And all who agree with this prayer, say Amen.
