Yes Men!!! You are A HERO!!!!!

Hey Family!!!

So 2 days ago, I posted “Yes! I am A DIVA!!!” and I know it’s a little bit of a “sexist type” of statement. Many of our Godly men are not walking around saying I’m a DIVA regardless of what acronym it may truly have attached to it. I’m aware, and actually quite relieved that they aren’t doing that. I’m sure I’d have a few questions if Reggie walked around saying that. LOL! So I decided to customize a post for our Men. Feel free to forward this post to any men in your life that you feel may need to be reminded that they are a HERO.

But Men, I know you are strong. And you do all that you can to not only provide for your family, but to somehow have a sense of accomplishment in the process. I am fully aware that sometimes being the man in a home (whether you are THE man OF the home or not) is a little bit on the “un-thanked” or “unrecognized” end. We (your family) sometimes take for granted the long, hard, sometimes physical hours you work. Because we have been hard wired to know that “It’s your job as man of the house to provide for the family”.  We sometimes take for granted that you might be tired and just want to watch the game on a Sunday afternoon. We sometimes take for granted the fact that we see that you haven’t really gotten yourself a new pair of sneakers or that fly hat that you’ve been eyeing. All because you have to pay the bills first and there sometimes isn’t much money left, disposable or not, after that.

But Men, can I tell you something that you should know? Something that maybe your family hasn’t told you in a while? Something that sounds like it only comes up on a Hallmark card around Father’s Day? Something that is true the other 364 days of the year?

You Truly Are Our HERO!!

So what is a HERO? Lets take a trip through The Word and see.

Because you don’t sacrifice your righteousness for evil, God said you are Holy and blameless!

1 Peter 1:14-15

14So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. 15But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.

 

Because you set down your pride and Endured like a good soldier, God Established You!!

1 Peter 5:10

10But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Because you Reject the enemy, God calls you to be Righteous!!! 

2 Corinthians 5:21

21For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

 

Because you do not place the world Over God, God causes you to be an Overcomer!!!

1 John 4:4

4You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Now for all of my Holy Established Righteous Overcoming Men. My HEROs. What I desperately need for you to remember is that man did not ever give you any of these honors. And man CAN NEVER give you any of these honors. Not even your wives. We as your wives and daughters and sister can help you feel good about some things. BUT in order for you to find yourself in these titles is a matter of what you are willing to do for and accept from our Mighty God!!

I have tried to help you by giving you examples of how you can begin (or continue) in these honors that God has called you HERO’s to:

• Don’t sacrifice your righteousness for evil. Protect that at all costs.
• Continue to shed your pride, and Endure the trials God sets before you like the Good Righteous Soldier He has been molding you into!
• Continue to Reject that Enemy!! He will come at you! But just like many of you demanded your respect in the streets before your Righteousness, now you must protect your Righteousness from a demon who wants to take you back to the streets! Man Up and Don’t Let him!!!!!!!  
• And lastly, continue to Keep God First in your life. Above ALL else. Above your children. Above your wife. Above the crazy job and the coworkers that don’t make no sense to you. Do this and God will cause you to Overcome the World!!!!

Can I remind our men of one last thing. When you stop “trying” to be the “hero” in your home, for your family, and you decide to give being God’s HERO, He WILL cause you to be seen, valued, and recognized as the HERO in your home as well!!!!!! If you continually LIFT God, He will LIFT You!

So I hope my HEROs are feeling better about themselves today!!!!!
