Did You Get Comfortable In Your Chains?
Hey Family
I was just talking to another of my sisters about life. And things we tend to struggle with and things we see others struggling with, when suddenly I heard "They are comfortable in their chains".
That made me question myself. What chains to I have that I got comfortable in? So the reason why we don't see these chains is because we do not think they exist. We are so comfortable and they blend in so much with your state of mind that you have no idea that you are walking around in chains and you don't realize it.
For example, some people have become comfortable in their chains of financial struggle. It's really easy to end up there. Besides the fact that it is a generational curse, it's something that can be broken. But there is a chain that you don't see that can keep you from your blessing as well. Lets just say you finally make it to the point where you are debt free. You are not making any money to save, but you are so happy that the school loans are gone, the regular loans that you took to pay your other bills are finally gone, all that extra nonsense is all gone. And you can finally breathe. There are people that get stuck right there. Comfortable just being able to exhale. But now you are still not where God has called you to be in the financial realm. Don't believe me? Look:
But, speaking to the financial issue again, if you have become comfortable being debt free and not standing on the promise that God made, you have bound yourself in a chain of sorts. Its like God is holding a million dollar check and handing it to you, and you turn and say "No it's ok Daddy, I don't need it, I'm happy not having that Nelnet bill. I'm all good." Your mind may justify the "No Thank You" to a feeling of just being grateful to be debt free. That is the disguise for the chain! You now have settled in your gratefulness. Which that is correct. You want to be grateful! I mean, it was God that made you debt free! Give Glory where Glory is due!!! But why would you turn down a free gift? Being debt free may not have been God's plan for your life. His plan (which remember, His plan is higher than your plan!) is to cause your cup to overflow. Why would you want your cup to just be full? I'm sorry, but I need my cup to overflow. I want it to run over and spill on everything around me. The cup at the bank, the cup in my heart, the cup in my home, the cup in my spirit, the cup in my mind, the cup in my career, all of my cups, I want them all to run over. I don't want to have them just fill and I be content with a single full cup.
Anyway, when you think about a full cup, that means something has stopped pouring into it!!! No, we can't have that. I need what filled my cup to keep pouring forever and ever. I need a constant supply and if that is what God has in my plans, then that's what I want.
So as you look back over your life, ask yourself. Did I get comfortable in these chains? What chains are there? Bad relationships. Drugs. Alcohol. Financial. Career. Anything that you can question and say "Did God maybe want more for me in this area?" He truly may have wanted to give you more. But you said "Nah I'm good right here. This is comfortable."
I Love You All!!!! Be Blessed!!!!!!!!
Ok, so that doesn't quite catch in your spirit?

- The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. ~ Psalm 115:14 KJV
- But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today. ~ Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV
- The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity – in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground – in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you. Deuteronomy 28:11 NIV
- The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. Deuteronomy 28:12 NIV
- The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. ~ Deuteronomy 28:13 NIV
