He's Intentional. So Intentional.
Hi Family!
I was talking with a co-worker (car enthusiast) today and he brought up a person that he knows in his car club and showed me a SportsCenter Featured piece that was done about the person 3 years ago. His name is Richie Parker. This video had my full attention. Not because I'm a sports enthusiast or because I'm any other kind of enthusiast for that matter. But because this man, seems to be the definition of OVERCOMER.
Richie Parker was born in Beaufort, SC with a condition called Bilateral Amelia. This condition caused him to be born, without arms. Imagine as you are reading this right now, that you did not have the fingers to swipe up, down, left, right on your phone, tablet or iPad. Better yet, imagine you had no hands to hold it with. Then again, forget the technologies and tools we have. Imagine you had no arms to hug your parent or child with. How would you feel? How would you be able to overcome?
But this man did. With the support of his amazingly strong and faith filled parents, this man overcame. This man was Gifted by God. And is a Blessing to the World. As I was watching the video below, I sat in awe of all I was seeing. And I couldn't help but notice that although my head was turned sideways and my jaw was dropped in amazement, that I was sitting back with my arms crossed in front of me. I wondered, how does Richie Parker sit back and look when he is amazed at something too? He'd probably do all I did except for the crossing of the arms. Duh, Ana right? LOL
What caught me, after I watched another video about Richie, was a comment. Someone said "God Bless You". And someone, in reply to that comment, said "God is sick for doing this to him." I'm sorry some people have probably said this about him, and about others. But I can see God's intention and perfect plan in Richie. Only God could know who Richie was before he was born.
Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
Only God could know how strong He needed Richie to be, in order to overcome this. That Richie would be the absolute walking example of James 1:2-4 for us.
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
And through this Richie would live out a Romans 8:28.
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
After seeing this testimony of God's Miracle, how can we NOT go out and live out a Joshua 1:9??
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
How can we continue to live in a Proverbs 22:13 mindset and call ourselves People of Faith?
The lazy person claims, “There’s a lion out there! If I go outside, I might be killed!”
Family, this man, Richie Parker, was not cursed. I don't believe he was punished. I surely don't believe that the enemy was trying to "kill" him. This was God's intentional doing. Something He allowed for a purpose. Probably for 2 things. 1. To bring out EVERYTHING in Richie that at some point he may have wondered "How in the heck am I supposed to do that!?" But he figured it out didn't he? He got whatever the "it" was done. All those things we take for granted. And 2. To show the world, what one man, with 0 arms can do. When we have all our limbs and constantly talk about all the things we CAN'T do and that we can't figure out HOW to do.

So now, I'm going to tell all of you, starting with ME. When we have that "thing" that comes up, and we can't figure out how we are going to do it, but we can think of a million reasons why we CAN'T do it. Think of Richie and tell yourself exactly what he would tell you if he were talking to you.
NO EXCUSES.
I love you family!!! Be Blessed!!! And Happy Resurrection Weekend!!!
